These are common phrases here at Norton High. Drama. A word every one knows and everyone is involved in. Every corner you turn, every step you take, you're met with some of this bitter sweet concoction.
Walking down the halls of this school, through the dorms, and around the town, you are met with all the difficulties of life: Relationships, children, family, abuse, cutting, drinking, drugs, sex, love, the whole nine yards. No one is safe. Everyone is a victim. A victim of life.

All sites have rules and these are no different. I will be updating them often so please check back at least once a week to see if there are any changes to be aware of. With that, we will go on to the rules
Rules
`Respect
I expect everyone to be respected. This means everyone, not just staff. If I see fighting or people saying rude things about other members I will give you a warning. [See warning system at bottom of page for details.]
`Godmoding and Powerplaying
You are in charge of your character. They are what you want them to be. This means you must also control them. You may not kill or injure anyone else's character unless you have consent from them as well as me. This also means that you may not control a character of force them to do anything unless the roleplayer themselves approves it.
`Literacy
It seems to me that what is being defined as literate has fallen greatly. When I say literate, this is what I expect of you. You must have good spelling and grammar. Spell check is available and you must use it. I expect nice readable fonts. I ask that you do not change the default font or color, but you may toy with the size. Your posts must be a good paragraph long, at the least. To make it easier on you, I will give you a character count. The must be at least 600 characters long. The character counter under the text box will help aid you in this task.
`Images
I understand that people like to use pictures. What I ask is that it stays at about 550px so it doesn't stretch any screens. If your image stretches a screen, it will be removed.
`Maturity
I rate this site at PG-13 and over. Things will get mature and graphic and that is a good thing. It opens your mind and expresses your soul. Cheesy, yes. But it is true.
`Ooc
This one is simple. You must stay in character on the boards. If you want to talk please use the ooc boards or the cbox I have provided. A small sentence about the roleplay itself is fine to use on the board, if proper ooc form is used.
`Characters
You may have as many characters as you would like, but only 5 characters per account. If you plan on having more, you must make a new account.
`Activity
If I have an activity check and you do not reply by the given date, your characters will be deleted. No exceptions. If you are gone more than 14 days without posting on the Away message board, you will be deleted. If you join and do not begin your application in 4 days, you will be deleted. Also if you do not finish the application in 7 days, you will be deleted. Overall, stay active.
Warnings
Our warning system is very simple. If you break a rule, you get a warning. You are given a total of two warnings. After that time you will be asked to leave. All of your email addresses and IP addresses will be blocked to be sure you will not be back. I'm sorry, but it must be done to assure this site will be kept alive and going.
Now that you all think I'm terrible, let me tell you I am not. I do wish for this to be fun and enjoyable, but we all need limits. Enjoy your stay and feel free to ask questions.

New-ish layout. I hope you guys enjoy it. Of course there are some things that I still need to fix, but it will be beautiful soon, I promise. I'm going to make a few skins as well, if there are no complaints. If there's something about the layout you don't like, think should be changed, added, removed, or anything of that sort, feel free to PM Brandi, and those changes will be taken into serious consideration.
Also, the boards have been cleaned up, so all of the roleplays that haven't been touched since July, bye-bye. Well, kind of. They've been moved to the Retired Sub-Boards, which you can find under OOC. If you weren't done with you board, again, PM Brandi and it will be put back.
I'd like to clean some other things up as well, soooo, if there are any loose ends to your deleted characters, I'd like to know who those deleted characters are, and I'll get rid of whatever needs to disappear.

Happy New Years everyone! Well, in the great tradition of the new year, it's out with the old, and in with the new, which is why Norton High is having some rennovations done. Get ready for a brand new look Norton! The staff is going to be working their butts off to make sure everything is perfect for this new year.

Ok everyone, the boards are being reorganized, so, check your PMs, because a mass letter has been sent out, asking for a few things.
Also, we will be voting on a few things, such as, Male, and Female characters of the month, Couple, and Drama/Rivalry of the month. Everyone is asked to participate in this. An OOC board has been made specifically for this. Please only use it for voting and nominations, so it doesn't get to messy.
Old posts have been moved as well, to a retirement board. After New Years, all boards that have been deserted since 12.20.08 will be moved there, and if permission is given, any board from before 12.1.08 will be perminately deleted from the board. If someone wants any boards kept, just let Alycia know.

Also, if someone would like to make a new layout for the site, something with a sort of theme, that would be wonderful, and you are more than welcome to it.

The school hasn't been having many activities lately, and I think it's time to start up some school spirit. There will be more dances and parties, and if I can get some sports players, we will get some games. What kind of High School doesn't have a football team? Go Vikings! We'll need some Cheerleaders too of course! Please PM Alycia.
